‘The Bug’ is so called because of it’s form as it sits on the wall. It is constructed from a band of oak which wraps and folds itself around the shelves and storage of the lower section, then up the wall into a ‘bug-eye’ cabinet.
Oak-framed with Black Walnut panelling, this door with display shelves divides the client’s dining and sitting rooms. The shelves are accessed alternately from either side of the door but one panel holds a secret!
This is actually an update to a previous post. Idiom is a sculpture by Matej Kren that can be seen at the Prague Library. When you look down the middle of the sculpture, it looks like there's an endless vortex of books. More details can be found here.
